About the project

Hey! My name is Amy Park and I created this project: Designing Education with two goals in mind: 1. spread information and 2. raise money. Spread information about and raise money for what? Childhood education. The very website you are on right now is the main way I have used to spread information, and in order to raise money, I created a RedBubble store to donate 100% of all profits to Save the Children and other charities in the future.

How did everything begin? Picture this, first day of school, and the first thing my English teacher tells my class, besides "Welcome to the new school year", is "In the second semester, it is going to be your job to create a project around an issue you want to change or bring more attention to." Easy, right? Wrong. First semester flew by in flash and it was already second semester. Students around me were already setting up their projects with the perfect topic in mind, while I had nothing. One or two weeks passed by and I finally found an idea: tutoring. Last November, I joined a few tutoring organizations and absolutely loved it! Working with children and tutoring them in subjects like Math and English was something I always looked forward to. I expanded on my idea and eventually landed on childhood education. With the recent coronavirus situation, millions of children worldwide are out of school without any access to education, so I created this project to help make change.

On this website, you will be able to find summaries of information I collected about childhood education so that you can leave this site educated. On here, I included information about the basic statistics, the causes, and the main importance, which you can all find in the INFORMATION tab. Further down, if you click on REDBUBBLE SHOP, you will be able to find the link to my RedBubble store. My shop includes designs illustrated by volunteers I contacted and photographs that either I took or people submitted. These designs and photos are put on products and sold; 100% of all the profits earned will be donated to Save the Children, so if you are looking to contribute to this project, think about submitting a design/photo or buying a product. Am I confident that I will make a worldwide change? Not really, but I am confident in my passion for this project. I really do hope that my project has left even a small impact in your life. Thanks for stopping by.
